NatureWise Yoga - My approach

I got introduced to meditation at age 6 and met my first hatha yoga teacher in 1993, when I was 17. Since then I have studied both inner and outer aspects of yoga with many different,

mainly western, teachers. To mention just a few, Jonas Westring, Simon Krohn, Louise Fjendbo and Uma Dinsmore-Tuli has been some sources of great inspiration for me - alongside with the many hundreds of students that has been my most important teachers.


I was invited to teach already in 1995, I have taught as my main profession since 2006 and I lead yoga teacher trainings since 2014 at Axelsons Institute, Scandinavias largest school for massage
& well being educations


My main system of inspiration is Anusara Yoga, although I navigate between "styles" and prefer to treat the yoga as tools that should suit the individual. I like to empower the student to be their own teacher, and not to imply any "yoga boxes" onto anyone.


I see the physical part of yoga, the asanas, mainly as a tool for self-healing of the body and nervous system, physical & energetical health prevention and strenghtening. I give a lot of alignment suggestions, to increase proprioception (body awareness) and exercise the entire body in a balanced way, from the core to the surface.


In my classes I bring much focus to alignment, with a lot of explorative freedom for the individual body.. I happily mix flow practice with slow practice, as I assume that most uf us need both.


Meditation, based in basic Vipassana, is another approach I love to share. With groups, I integrate the meditative awareness as a tool inside and outside  the asana practice as well as a social/life tool.


I have also specialized in Yin Yoga and Creative Yoga Nidra.

Yin Yoga is a slow pace practice that aims to stimulate the fascia, meridians and inner organs. Promotes surrender, stress release and relaxation. Yoga Nidra is a format for guided deep relaxation that has proven to slow down the brain waves from Beta to Alfa, Delta and even Theta, so that you can gain some benefits of meditation, dream sleep and even deep sleep - while you are still conscious.
